Person killed in shooting on Gateway Court

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person was killed in a shooting on the city’s northwest side Thursday, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

At 7:55 p.m. Thursday, IMPD Northwest District officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3900 block of Gateway Court. That is a residential area on the city’s northwest side. Officers arrived and found a person suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators did not immediately provide any additional information on this incident.
