Photos: Aftermath of Tuesday's snow squall across Denver area

DENVER (KDVR) -- Denver weather went from warm and in the 60s on Monday to a total whiteout on Tuesday morning. While the snow didn't accumulate much on Tuesday morning, a snow squall left Denver roads in a frenzy.

Whiteout conditions

The snow squall started with light flakes, then turned into whiteout conditions in some areas on Tuesday morning.

Snow squalls are particularly dangerous because the storm reduces the visibility on the road, turns the pavement into ice and brings in gusty winds.

Snow squalls are generally meant to last about 30 minutes to an hour, according to the National Weather Service. But within a short time, a lot of damage was caused.
