3 juveniles injured in police shooting on far eastside
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An investigation is underway after three suspects were injured in a police shooting Saturday night in the 10900 block of East 10th Street on Indy’s far eastside. Police say no officers were injured.
At 10 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say SWAT officers were following a car occupied by three juveniles and one adult, believed to be involved in a recent shooting. Police attempted to grapple the car and at least one occupant inside the car began shooting at officers.
IMPD says at least one officer returned fire. Once the police were able to stop the car, they immediately took three of them into custody. One male attempted to flee on foot.
