Poor air quality this evening, scattered downpours and storms Sunday

Yesterday's smoky haze went from bad to worse. From a haze in the sky to smelling the smoke at the surface, this week is bringing back memories from 2023. Today's air quality is forecast to worsen, leading to a code purple (very unhealthy) for air quality. Today will also be the final 90° day in our week-long heat wave. Smoky and hot is the going forecast, and it will remain dry today. Tonight will stay smoky with increasing clouds and lows in the 70s. The only good news today? The dewpoints have dropped (yay!), so it won't be as humid this afternoon.
