Purdue guard C.J. Cox shares injury update ahead of Sweet 16
SAN JOSE, Calif. (WISH) — C.J. Cox injured his right knee in Purdue’s win against Miami (FL) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The injury came early in the second half and he did not return to the game.
On Wednesday, Cox said he thankfully did not tear anything. He added that he had an MRI and that everything came back “pretty good.”
“Just taking it one day at a time,” Cox said. “Continuing to rehab, just seeing how it is. Not jumping in too fast, but just seeing what Chad (Young) thinks and what the staff thinks.”
Chad Young is Purdue’s athletic trainer.
