Purdue takes down Texas, advances to the Elite 8

SAN JOSE, Calif. (WISH) — Purdue took down Texas on Trey Kaufman-Renn’s game-winning last-second tip-in, winning 79-77, to advance to the Elite 8.

The Boilermakers are now just one win away from making it to Indianapolis for the Final Four.

Purdue led 39-35 at halftime.

The Boilermakers will play the winner of Arizona and Arkansas in the Elite 8 on Saturday.
