Queens, NY – A Long Island City man has been indicted on murder charges in the death of his 2-year-old son, a case prosecutors say involved prolonged abuse and a delay in seeking medical care. The child died days after being hospitalized with extensive injuries, according to the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
Dayvon Morrison, 30, was arraigned on charges including two counts of second-degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child. He was remanded by a Queens Supreme Court judge and is scheduled to return to court May 1. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years to life in prison.
