Rainy and cooler Memorial Day Weekend sets up

Thursday’s rain amounts averaged around a half inch for most of the viewing area. The front pushed southward last evening, and drier air filtered into the region. Today will be drier, at least to start, but showers will return after 2pm today. Highs may sneak into the lower 60s this afternoon, but it will still be cool and eventually damp again. By this evening, rain will overspread the area and continue overnight. Lows will fall into the upper 40s.
