INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — U.S. Rep. Andre Carson says his constituents are ready to stop changing their clocks.

Following a vote by the entire Indiana delegation in the U.S. House to make daylight saving time permanent, the Indianapolis Democrat voiced his strong support for the measure during a recent appearance on “All Indiana Politics.”

“I’ve looked at study after study. I’ve spoken to constituents about it. Most folks seem to be in support of it,” Carson said. While acknowledging historical concerns—such as the 1974 repeal driven by fears of children waiting for school buses in the dark—Carson noted that expert consensus and public opinion now lean heavily toward a permanent shift.
