RICHMOND, Ind. (WISH) — The Richmond Meltdown Winter Ice Festival will return for its 13th year on Jan. 30-31, featuring renowned ice carvers and a series of winter-themed events in the heart of the east central Indiana city.
Visitors can watch skilled ice carvers transform blocks of ice into captivating sculptures, and explore Elstro Plaza and Main Street to enjoy the artistry, as well as partake in interactive activities designed for all ages.
Amy Dillon, the marketing chair for the festival, shared her excitement about the upcoming event in a news release issued last week. “We are thrilled to showcase the artistry of ice carving and the spirit of our community once again. This year’s lineup promises a fun-filled experience for everyone.”
The festival will kick off with the Chili for Charity event on Jan. 28, 2026, at performance venue Eight to the Bar, 931 E. Main St. Chefs will partner with nonprofits to serve chili and raise funds for community projects, with tickets priced at $15 in advance and $25 at the door for unlimited tastings and voting rights.
