ALBANY, Ind. (WISH) — The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office paused the search for a missing young adult at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mississinewa River after rising water made conditions too dangerous.

The search started Wednesday evening after reports of four people in the flooded river near County Road 450 East and Gregory Road, halfway between the towns of Albany and Eaton.

Rescue teams saved two people by 9:02 p.m. Wednesday and found a third person safe shortly after. Teams used boats, drones, and foot patrols through the night to find the fourth person, who has been identified...
