Safety concern prompts Evenflo recall of All4One car seats

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WISH) — Evenflo is recalling certain All4One four-in-one convertible car seats manufactured between January 2022 and June 2024 due to potential safety issues with the recline mechanism, the company announced Thursday.

The recall affects models sold in the United States and Canada. According to Consumer Reports, the recall involves more than 74,000 car seats.

Evenflo says the recall was issued after testing showed that when the car seat is used in rear-facing mode, it may shift from one recline position to another during a crash. Fortunately, the recall announcement said, there have been no reported injuries associated with this issue and the car seat continues to provide adequate protection in the event of a crash.

Families with impacted models who have registered their car seat will be contacted directly by Evenflo and offered an equivalent replacement car seat at no cost. For those who have not registered their car seat, they can do so on the Evenflo website to receive updates about the recall.
