Hampton man hits same numbers 20 times to score $100K lottery windfall
HAMPTON, Va. — A Virginia man’s daily lottery habit turned into a six-figure payday after his favorite set of numbers hit — not once, but 20 times in a single drawing.
Prentice Douglas had been consistently playing the numbers 3-2-3-8 in the Virginia Lottery’s Pick 4 game, sticking with the same combination day after day.
That persistence paid off in a big way during the March 7 daytime drawing, when those exact numbers were selected.
Douglas didn’t just play the combination once — he doubled down.
He purchased 20 separate plays using the same four numbers, with each ticket winning $5,000, bringing his total haul to an impressive $100,000.
The winning tickets were purchased at a 7-Eleven on Cunningham Drive in Hampton.
Despite the life-changing win, Douglas kept his reaction simple, saying he doesn’t have any immediate plans for the money beyond enjoying the moment.
