A Spring Valley Lake couple is dead after what appears to be a murder-suicide, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.
Luis Fernando Urgiles, 45, and Claudia Carmen Urgiles, 40, were found dead on Saturday at their home in an unincorporated area near Victorville, two days after Claudia Urgiles' family reported her missing to the SBSD, officials said in a news release.
When deputies arrived at the home in the 17900 block of Vista Pointe Drive to serve a search warrant, they found "Claudia and Luis deceased inside the home with apparent gunshot wounds," the SBSD said.
"Through investigation, it appears Luis murdered Claudia and then killed himself," the release added.
Officials did not say what specifically in their investigation indicated that the deaths were related to a murder-suicide, nor what the motive is believed to be.
