Semi hits Boone County deputy patrol car due to slick conditions
DOVER, Ind. (WISH) — A semi crashed into a Boone County Sheriff’s Office patrol SUV in western Boone County during hazardous weather conditions, the sheriff’s office said in a Thursday morning news release.
The deputy was outside the SUV to assist with another crash when the semi crashed into the sheriff’s SUV. No one was seriously hurt. It happened around 7 a.m. Thursday on State Road 32 near County Road 1075 West. It’s a rural area with a few houses with rural Thorntown address that are located about 2 miles west of the unincorporated community of Dover.
At the time, Boone County was under a travel advisory, with ice covering some roads.
