Shane Steichen shares who will start for Colts at QB in first two preseason games

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WISH) — Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Anthony Richardson will start at quarterback in the preseason game against the Patriots. Riley Leonard will play the second half.

Then in the second preseason game against the Falcons, Riley Leonard will start and Anthony Richardson will play the second half.

Daniel Jones will not play in any of the three preseason games.

“Well, I think it’s pretty obvious, don’t want to take any chances with Daniel out there in the preseason right now,” Steichen said.

Richardson and Leonard are competing to be the Colts’ backup quarterback.
