Snow showers, gusty winds overnight as temps drop into the 20s

A key note on today's severe weather threat: the main threat today is damaging wind gusts. This is a powerful front with a huge temperature gradient. Winds will be rough later today, especially between the hours listed above, 3-9pm. Are tornados a huge concern? Not locally. While it won't be surprising if a tornado warning is issued today given the environment, the best environment for tornadoes is south of our area. Damaging winds locally are still a concern, but remember the timing too. Much of the severe weather threat will occur late this afternoon and evening.
