
$1M Powerball ticket sold at Poughkeepsie deli
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — A lucky lottery player in Dutchess County is holding a $1 million Powerball ticket after matching five numbers in the March 16 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
The second-prize-winning ticket was sold at South Gate Deli, located at 1 South Gate Drive in Poughkeepsie.
Lottery officials said the ticket matched all five white balls drawn but missed the Powerball, resulting in the $1 million prize.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with players selecting five numbers from 1 through 69 and a separate Powerball from 1 through 26.
Winners of New York Lottery draw games have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
