Sophie Turner Gets Candid About Becoming a Young Mom and Why It’s ‘Really Nice’

Sophie Turner is opening up about navigating motherhood and her career in a candid new interview with The Guardian, published Friday, January 16.

The actress shares daughters Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, with ex-husband Joe Jonas. Reflecting on starting a family at a young age, Turner, who welcomed her first child at 24 and her second at 26 said, “It’s really nice. I’m not worrying about my biological clock and all that sort of stuff.”

After getting engaged at 21, Turner relocated to the U.S. and started her family soon after. Looking back, she says the experience was both grounding and challenging.

“It just felt like the right break to focus on me, because I’d been a character for so long,” she explained. “Nesting and being at home was amazing. But the flipside of it, and Covid didn’t help, was that this was a big break from the career. And I’ve had to try to rebuild, in a way. You don’t realise how important momentum is in a career, and I stalled it a bit.”
