Yesterday's high temperature was only 31°, as cool air and dense cloud cover kept us roughly 15° colder than average. With light moisture moving into the Mid-Atlantic overnight, patchy freezing drizzle could make for some isolated icy patches early today as temperatures dipped into the upper 20s last night. Main roads and well-traveled spots should be okay, but neighborhood streets and sidewalks, along with car windshields, could have a glaze of ice on them early today. By mid-morning, temperatures will climb above freezing with occasional rain showers throughout the day. A steady rain is expected this evening with temperatures continuing to climb into the upper 30s. Tonight will bring just a few stray showers under cloudy skies.
