Storm chances grow this weekend, then heat and humidity build next week

TODAY

Partly sunny and warm with the better chance for showers and thunderstorms holding until later in the day. Highs reach the upper 80s, with a west southwest breeze around 10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. Most of the morning and early afternoon look usable in Indianapolis, but scattered storms may begin to develop after mid afternoon, and a few could bring heavy downpours.  

TONIGHT

Showers and thunderstorms remain possible through the evening and overnight under mostly cloudy skies. Lows settle near 70, with a southwest breeze around 5 to 10 mph easing later at night. It will not rain all night everywhere, but the evening carries a better chance for interruptions to outdoor plans than the first half of the day.
