Suspects accused of shooting at NMSP officer arrested in Fort Sumner

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police said Jovan Martinez and Makaela Johnson, suspects accused of shooting at an NMSP officer, have been arrested in Fort Sumner. NMSP said their Tactical Team, along with other law enforcement agencies, was part of the arrest. Residents are asked to avoid the area due to ongoing police activity.
