Three arrested in Kokomo theft ring, stolen items recovered

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — Three arrests have been made in a theft ring, the Kokomo Police Department said in a press release issued Tuesday.

Online court records on Tuesday night did not yet show cases filed against the three men.

On Monday, police searched a home in the 1600 block of South Union Street, a few blocks south of downtown Kokomo. Police found three stolen cars, a stolen handgun, and other items that had been taken from cars.

Police arrested 18-year-old Keen Chappell, 19-year old Devonne Chappell, and 19-year-old Antwan James in relation to the theft ring.

The release did not say if the Chappells are related.
