Suspect at large in shooting of Tippecanoe County judge, his wife

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) — Officials have confirmed that a Tippecanoe County judge and his wife were shot and injured at their home in Lafayette on Sunday afternoon.

Judge Steve Meyer and his wife, Kim, are in stable condition as of Monday. Meyer has served as a judge in Tippecanoe Superior Court 2 for 11 years, but announced in December he would retire at the end of the term.

The shooting happened just after 2:15 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Mill Pond Lane in Lafayette, just south of the Wabash neighborhood near Old U.S. 231.
