Widespread cartel violence erupted across Mexico after the death of Jalisco New Generation Cartel leader Nemesio "El Mencho" Oseguera Cervantes in a military operation. Reports from Feb. 22 and 23 say the attacks included road blockages and torched vehicles and spread to at least 20 states.
