RENSSELAER, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana State Troopers seized over 36 pounds of cocaine and made two arrests following two traffic stops in Jasper County on Monday.

According to a release sent Tuesday by Indiana State Police, at 10:00 a.m an Indiana State Police Criminal Interdiction Unit started a narcotics investigation after a traffic stop. The release did not describe the vehicle, where the traffic stop took place, or why the traffic stop was made.

During the initial stop, criminal indicators lead the trooper to believe the driver, Kipterrez James of Cincinnati was going to an airport to pick up illegal contraband. The driver and vehicle were then released at the scene.
