EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A heavy fire at an Evansville home early Sunday resulted in the death of two boys and another child being hospitalized in Indianapolis.

Evansville Fire Department crews received a report of a house fire in the 600 block of Powell Avenue just west of U.S. 41 sometime Sunday morning.

There, they found heavy fire on the first floor, which quickly spread through the rest of the home and the attic.

While firefighters began an aggressive attack, others searched the home and found three juveniles.
