UPDATE: Nevada's first big wildfires of 2026 burning northeast of Las Vegas

The season's first wild big wildfires are burning in Lincoln County northeast of Las Vegas, described initially as fast-moving and caused by lightning strikes, according to the Bureau of Land Management.
