INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — U.S. Rep. Jim Baird of Indiana has been released from a hospital while his wife, Danise, remained in an intensive care unit after a car crash, their son said in a social media on Tuesday night.

Beau Baird, who is an Indiana state representative from Greencastle, said his dad was hospitalized for less than 24 hours and “walked away with nothing more than some road rash and bruising.”

Beau said his mother will be in the ICU for a few days for doctors to monitor her condition. No additional details on her injuries were given.
