Ute Tribe names additional Utah state officials in ongoing lawsuit, including Speaker Mike Schultz

The Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation has named several new defendants in a lawsuit initially filed in 2023 which alleges that the Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA) and other Utah officials discriminated against the Tribe when they sold lands to the Division of Natural Resources.
