Suspect attacks victim from behind and steals phone in Richmond robbery
RICHMOND, Va. — Police are investigating an assault and robbery after a victim was attacked from behind and had a phone stolen in Richmond.
The incident happened in the 1800 block of Westmoreland Street, according to the Richmond Police Department.
Authorities said the victim was approached by an unknown man before being attacked during a physical altercation.
During the incident, the suspect stole the victim’s phone and fled the area on foot, heading eastbound on Westmoreland Street.
No additional details about injuries have been released.
