Newly released body camera footage shows an alleged carjacking suspect driving toward Maryland police officers, striking an officer and multiple cars before officers opened fire as she attempted to flee.
Police in Anne Arundel County responded on May 7 at around 9 p.m. to the area of North Crain Highway and 11th Avenue in Glen Burnie for a report of a hit-and-run. When police arrived at the scene, they learned a woman had crashed her car into another vehicle before forcibly taking the vehicle belonging to a family member who had shown up to help her.
The woman, identified as Jasmin L. Cooper, 28, was later located inside the vehicle on the 8500 block of Severn.
