QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Queensbury woman was arrested on Monday and is accused of welfare fraud, grand larceny, and more. Brittney Alguire, 31, faces multiple charges.
Deputies from the Warren County Sheriff's Office say Alguire failed to report income on a recertification application this month. Deputies say Alguire was given $3,282 in SNAP benefits that she otherwise wouldn't have been eligible to receive.
Charges:
- Third-degree welfare fraud
- Third-degree grand larceny
- First-degree offering a false instrument for filing
Alguire was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court. She was released pending a future court appearance.
