MIAMI (WISH) — Fernando Mendoza’s season has been a dream up to this point, and it has the chance to have a storybook ending on Monday night in the National Championship Game.

That’s because the Indiana University junior quarterback gets to play for the title in his hometown of Miami.

“I think it just means so much to my family, playing in Miami against the University of Miami, kind of the journey, it’s kind of like a full circle moment,” Mendoza said on Saturday during IU’s portion of Media Day.
