INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A woman is dead after a three-vehicle crash in the 7600 block of Madison Avenue, IMPD said.
According to police, officers responded to to a report of a personal injury crash at about 5:54 p.m. Wednesday. EMS took a woman to an area hospital in critical condition. She died at the hospital.
Police said the IMPD fatal crash investigation team will investigate. As of about 7 p.m. Wednesday, police did not believe driver intoxication played a factor in the crash.
All drivers stayed at the scene and are cooperating with investigators, IMPD said.
Police said to expect Madison venue to be closed in both directions “for the next few hours” from East Stop 10 Road to Brewer Drive.
