INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A major redevelopment project officially began Wednesday in downtown Indianapolis.

Developers broke ground on a multimillion-dollar project that will bring the city its first Ritz-Carlton hotel as well as a large-scale live music venue and new retail space.

News 8 first reported on the project in September after the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission gave its approval for a $300 million downtown project.
