Zionsville barn fire causes more than $125,000 in damage

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — On Friday evening a barn caught on fire in Zionsville, causing over $125,000 in damage.

According to the Zionsville Fire Department, crews were dispatched on reports of a structure fire in the area of the 4000 block of County Road 200 E. Firefighters arrived to find a barn on fire and were able to control the flames within 30 minutes.

Due to no water hydrants being available in the area, several departments assisted the fire including Whitestown, Lebanon, Center Township, Perry Township, and Brownsburg.

Two residents were home at the time of the fire and one person was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Zionsville Fire Department investigators determined the cause of the fire to be accidental and estimate damage costs to exceed $125,000.
