1 dead in Lawrence County motorcycle crash

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO)-- A 53 year-old woman has died in a motorcycle crash in Lawrence County, after the driver lost control on a curve.

According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the driver was traveling north on U.S. 85, near mile marker three, on a 2023 Harley Davidson Street Glide when the motorcycle left the road at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials said the motorcycle overturned as went into the east ditch.

The name of the person killed has not been released, pending notification of family members.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
