1 dead in Pioneer Park shooting: Police

DENVER (KDVR) — A man was found dead by police in the parking lot of Pioneer Park in Commerce City on Saturday.

Officers responded to the area at about 5 p.m. on Saturday on a report of a shooting.

A man was found dead in the parking lot. The Commerce City Police Department reported that the incident was contained to the parking lot, and did not "occur or spill over into the pool or park."

A person of interest has been detained, the agency reported. An investigation is ongoing.
