13-year-old who survived deadly Arvada plane crash visits first responders

DENVER (KDVR) — A 13-year-old has been released from the hospital after he suffered major injuries in an Arvada plane crash that injured two others and killed a woman.

Tom Sawyer Jr. visited Arvada Fire Station No. 1 on Tuesday after he was released from the hospital. The 13-year-old spent several weeks hospitalized after the crash but came back with his mom and sister to thank several of the first responders who were first at the scene.
