16-year-old from Nineveh dies in crash near Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A 16-year-old boy from Nineveh died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near Franklin, the Johnson County coroner said Wednesday afternoon.

Robert Toole was one of three people injured in the crash, but he died later at a hospital, investigators say.

The coroner said the crash happened at the intersection of Nineveh Road and County Road 80 South. That’s just off U.S. 31 beyond the south edge of Franklin.

A news release by the Johnson County Sherriff’s Office said officers were sent to reports of a serious car crash at 11:29 a.m. Wednesday.

The names of the two people injured were not shared publicly on Wednesday afternoon. Also, the whether Toole was a driver or a passenger.

Nineveh Road and U.S. 31 to Windstar Boulevard will be closed until the investigation is complete.
