1984 movie classics return to Cinemark theaters

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Cinemark Theaters is turning back the clock to 1984 and bringing movie classics to the big screen.

In celebration of the company's 40th anniversary, Cinemark is bringing its Retro Film Series that will feature nine movies at just $5 a ticket.

The following films will return to theaters starting Monday, August 12.

• Monday, August 12 – The Karate Kid
• Tuesday, August 13 – The Terminator
• Wednesday, August 14 – Gremlins
• Thursday, August 15 – Purple Rain
• Friday, August 16 – Ghostbusters
• Saturday, August 17 – A Nightmare on Elm Street
• Saturday, August 17 – The Last Starfighter
• Sunday, August 18 – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
• Sunday, August 18 – Footloose

Tickets are now available and can be purchased at a participating Cinemark theater near you.
