GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Two siblings in South Carolina were arrested and charged with assault after insults over unseasoned chicken turned into a brawl involving Raid bug spray, a gun and a knife.
Deputies were called to a home in Georgetown County on Sunday night about an assault in progress, according to a Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office report.
When Deputy Kyle Burns and Corporal Simpson arrived, they were told the situation began when Anthony Harper was asked by his sister Hope Harper “why he didn’t season the chicken that was cooking so it could crust up,” the report said.
Anthony Harper then told his sister he believed their grandmother would season it, after which Hope Harper called him "a dumb dog," according to the report. Police said Anthony Harper then shoved his sister into a table and punched her about five times.
