DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Two Indianapolis residents were arrested Tuesday after a body was found inside a burned vehicle in rural Delaware County.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 3:45 a.m. on Dec. 14. The Delaware County Sherriff’s Office say fire crews discovered the deceased, whose name has not yet been released.
A press release from the sheriff’s office did not specify an address.
Investigators used witness interviews, video review, and evidence collected from the scene to identify the suspects, 43-year-old Amy Singhas and 23-year-old Ameraiss Aponte. Both face preliminary charges of murder, arson, and obstruction of justice.
The sheriff’s office says additional charges are possible.
