Two pedestrians critical after morning crashes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police were investigating after two crashes several miles apart left two pedestrians in critical condition on Wednesday morning.

At 6:40 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to an accident at Coolidge and West Washington Streets near Lynhurst Drive on the city’s southwest side.

Officers arrived and found a man who had been hit by a vehicle. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. IMPD says the vehicle that hit the man stayed at the scene.
