DENVER (KDVR) — Two men who pleaded guilty to attempted murder charges were sentenced Thursday for firing shots in the Stroh Ranch subdivision, hitting multiple houses in September 2023.
James Deppermann, 30, and Aaron Stelly, 23, were arrested for a shooting report around 5:45 a.m. on Sept. 12, 2023. The pair's license plates were caught on a Flock camera, which Parker police accessed and used to identify their suspects.
Both suspects were originally facing a slew of charges, including attempted first-degree murder, attempted first-degree assault and possession of a weapon while under the influence. Ultimately, each pleaded guilty to a single count.
Deppermann pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder and was sentenced to 13 years in the Department of Corrections.
Stelly pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder and was sentenced to 20 years in the Department of Corrections.
Police found that two homes were damaged in the shooting. There were no injuries reported.
