2-vehicle crash on North Keystone Avenue leaves child dead, 3 others hurt

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One of four children hurt in a two-vehicle, afternoon crash on a North Keystone Avenue intersection has died, Indianapolis police said Tuesday night.

The crash was reported just before 4:35 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of East 34th Street and North Keystone Avenue. That’s an intersection with some gas stations and other businesses.

Shortly after the crash, four four children were taken to a hospital. Two were listed as being in critical condition, and two others were listed as stable.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department had not provided any additional information about the crash, or the people in it. IMPD said it was not planning to provide additional information to the news media via a public information officer at the crash scene.

At 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, IMPD said by email that the intersection had reopened to traffic.
