SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 was recorded near Borrego Springs Wednesday afternoon.
The quake struck four miles southwest of the desert community just before 3 p.m. at a depth of about seven miles, U.S. Geological Survey said.
Residents as far west as coastal San Diego, as far south as Tijuana and as far north as Cathedral City reported feeling weak shaking, according to the USGS Did You Feel It? map.
