Alleged armed robber captured in woods after threatening family in NJ home

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) --- An armed robber was captured in the woods after allegedly threatening a family in their New Jersey home Saturday, authorities said.

Jisum Park, 40, a Texas resident, got into the home on Impatiens Way through the garage and threatened two adults and their children with the gun, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. The victims began screaming, scaring Park off and he tried to escape into the woods before he was arrested, authorities said.

Prosecutors said the handgun that was recovered was a pellet gun that looked like a Glock handgun.

Park was charged with armed robbery, armed burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, officials said.

Park's arraignment was pending.
