An old-fashioned 4th (or 2nd, 3rd or 5th) on tap in several Kern County communities

The city of Bakersfield has largely ceded ownership of local Independence Day festivities to a national organization, the Donald Trump-endorsed US 250 Tour, which will be in Bakersfield on July 3, but most other Kern County cities have stepped to the plate with their own celebrations — including several on the actual day of the semiquincentennial.
